To find the next Executive Director of Acacia Fraternity, the International Council formed an Executive Director Search Committee, including representation from our active membership, chapter advisors, and the AFF.

The Committee is tasked with initiating the search process, marketing the opening, conducting initial interviews of candidates and providing the full Council with a short list of candidates for further consideration.

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Executive Director of Acacia Fraternity. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring organizational excellence, and promoting the fraternity’s mission and values on a global scale.

This is a high-profile position that requires exceptional leadership, strong management skills, and a deep commitment to fostering a positive fraternity experience for members worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Provide visionary leadership to advance the fraternity’s mission, goals, and strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with the International Council to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the organization.

  • Identify emerging trends and challenges in the fraternity landscape and propose innovative solutions.

2. Organizational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the fraternity’s international headquarters and ensure effective management of staff and resources.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and transparency among fraternity staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

3. Member Development and Engagement:

  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives to enhance the fraternity experience for members globally.

  • Support and guide regional and local chapters in promoting fraternity values, leadership development, and personal growth.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with alumni, partners, and other stakeholders to enhance member engagement and support.

4. Financial Stewardship:

  • Oversee the fraternity’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

  • Develop and implement strategies to diversify revenue streams and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

5. Advocacy and Public Relations:

  • Serve as the public face of the fraternity and effectively communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments.

  • Advocate for the fraternity’s interests and promote positive perceptions of fraternity life among internal and external stakeholders, including policymakers, higher education institutions, and the general public.

  • Represent the fraternity at conferences, events, and other public forums.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a fraternity or a similar membership-based organization.

  • Strong understanding of fraternity and student affairs issues, as well as higher education trends. 

  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational management, and financial acumen.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient in using technology and software relevant to the position.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Location:

  • Preferred in Indianapolis metro area, though remote may be considered.
