Acacia's Motto and Guiding Principle
Human Service. It is more than just Acacia's motto; it is something that our members put into practice in impressive fashion in numerous ways. From hundreds of hours spent in the community to thousands of dollars raised for noble causes, Acacia brothers find great significance and enjoyment in serving others.
Acacia's International service projects include the Acacia Claus holiday toy drive and Seven Days of Service, and our international philanthropic partner is Shriners Hospitals for Children. The majority of Acacia chapters participate in at least one of these projects annually.
Further, Acacia's chapters put forward incredible independent efforts through unique projects and fundraisers. A short list of chapter projects include: Ohio Chapter's 5cacia 5k run/walk, which raises tens of thousands of dollars annually for pancreatic cancer research; California (PA) Chapter's Operation Snowflake in which members shovel neighborhood driveways in the winter; Penn State Chapter's impressive THON fundraising efforts; Iowa State Chapter's What's Your 20? service hours program; and dozens of others.
